Resolved Question: Ugh I need help with math! Ten points! :D?
The standard staircase, according to the National Association of Home Builders, has thirteen 8 and 1/4 inch risers and twelve 9inch treads. A 1992 proposal to increase safety on stairs by the Building Officials and Code Administrators suggested a new standard of sixteen 7in risers and fifteen 11in treads. ~At school we were given a staircase to measure and here is my information: *There are 10 stairs *They each have 12in treads *The height of each is 7 and 1/2 in *The slope of the stairs I measured is 0.65in *The slope of the safe stairs is 0.63 3. Write a paragraph explaining why the new staircase model might increase safety. What are its advantages? disadvantages?
