I am only in high school right now, but I am thinking of my future and has a couple of questions... I have always gone to good private schools (pre-school through high school tuition= $20,000/yr) because my amazing parents have sacrificed a lot to my education, but due to my hard school I have a lower GPA (3.67) than I would at a public HS. Would this affect my chances of getting into a good college or do they have a way of balancing everybody out? Also, I have always been interested in architecture and love building houses on sims, looking at open houses, etc. If I went to college in LA to become a home architect, would it be a good idea to try and get an internship with a good custom home-building company to learn and get ideas? Do you have any advice for colleges in LA, and how much do you think I could make (salary wise) if I continue to pursue this career? I'm interested in starting my own womens shoe line à la Carlos Santana - although on a much smaller scale - stictly custom order. I have my own designs, and a rudimentary understanding of shoe construction, including making lasts, etc. and have a line on some suppliers of leather supplies and tools. I have, however, come to a dead end in trying to find a supplier of ready made heels. The task of making my own appears quite daunting and I have not found any instructions on how to do it. I would welcome input from anyone who either knows where I can order pre-made heels or find instructions on making my own.
